Divorce Recovery
“You, who have shown me great and severe troubles, shall revive me again, and bring me up from the depths of the earth. You shall increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side” Psalm 71:20-21
Divorce is a painful process for most people, no matter what the circumstances. Those experiencing a marriage break-up are often in great need of help and healing. That is why we have developed a Divorce Recovery Workshop at Calvary Murrieta.
The workshop is designed to help men and women who are suffering through a separation or divorce. This 13-week seminar and support group will cover topics such as: Facing My Anger, Dealing with Loneliness, Helping My Kids, and Learning to Forgive. We offer this workshop 2 times each year, and you are welcome to join us at any time. The cost is $30, which includes the cost of your workbook. DivorceCare for Kids will also be provided for children up to 12 years old at no charge.
Upcoming workshop: The next session will begin Monday August 9th thru November 8th. We will also be having a special one night seminar of “DivorceCare Surviving the Holidays” it will be held on Monday November 15th at 6:30pm.

Comments from those who have attended the Divorce Recovery Workshop:
“The thing that helped me most was hearing the experiences of other people who had also gone through divorce or separation. Every person was honest and vulnerable as they spoke about their own personal heartbreak. [This] made me realize that I was not alone. I know the people at Divorce Care cared about me and what I was going through. Every nugget that was shared on the video and in the support groups, God has been using to put the pieces of my heart back together again.” Debbie L.
“The people I met had the same deep wounds from divorce that I had, and we were able to connect and by the time the class finished we considered ourselves friends. The Monday night class was the highlight of each week for me, as I knew I would be given sound counsel from those who have gone before me through this valley. I knew I would walk away from each class filled with encouragement and compassion which would lead me to my Father's throne. No valley is so deep, that He is not deeper still.” Debra G. |
