Worship Ministry
I really want our church to be more familiar with the songs we play and to be able to learn them quickly. Being familiar with the lyrics and melodies of the songs helps you take your eyes off the screen and get lost in worship. Imagine the nation of Israel singing through the Psalms. They did not have any hymnals back then...and those songs were very wordy. But they did sing and they knew the words. They knew that music was a very joyful and serious thing to God.
If they were able to learn and sing these very wordy songs with no hymnals or "lyrics up on the screen" anywhere, what excuse do we have when everything is just a click-of-a-button away?

“The Stir” Calvary Murrieta Musician’s Fellowship
